Sylvania’s four-head hi-fi VCR is a superb introductory stereo VCR, featuring MTS (Multichannel Television Sound) VHS recording and playback, a 1-year, 8-event programmable recording timer with one-touch timer recording, and onscreen menu display. The 6260VE’s four heads provide finer picture quality than VCRs with just two heads, and its automatic head cleaners remove dirt and contaminants each time you insert or remove a cassette in an effort to preserve that clear picture.

The 6260VE means that you can freeze frame, view in slow motion, and advance frame by frame, in addition to will provide you with two quick-search speeds (5x and 15x) when viewing tapes recorded in SLP (super long play) mode. Digital tracking means that you can search for a specific point on the tape either by time or index, with a real-time onscreen counter. The VCR is capable of playing an SAP (secondary audio program) track with compatible bilingual/simulcast broadcasts or recordings, and its onscreen menus may also be displayed in English, Spanish, or French. Its 181-channel, direct-access tuner can accommodate up to 125 cable channels and offers the convenience of automatic channel programming. The 6260VE also includes automatic repeat play, a useful feature for demonstrations or tradeshows.

The 6260VE has a set of stereo audio/video inputs in front for simple connection of camcorders, digital cameras, and game consoles, along with RF, composite-video, and stereo audio inputs and outputs on the rear of the unit. It includes a 27-key remote regulate.
