This Supermicro-brand PCIe x8 NVMe adapter can host up to 2x NVMe M.2 solid state drives, providing super fast I/O of up to 4GB/s sequential read and 3GB/s sequential write speeds. This product is natively supported by recent generations of Dell Precision workstations (T5810/5820, T7810/7820, T7910/7920, and R7910/7920). Other systems with PCIe bifurcation support will need to change the BIOS settings for enabling PCIe 3.0 x8 bifurcation (x4x4). The default configuration on the SSD Duo is a RAID 0 storage space formatted under Windows 8/10. However, you may reformat the drive as a logical volume for Linux/macOS or a dynamic volume for Windows 7.
