An easy-to-read LCD shows not only the station ID and time, but also the song name and artist. The segment style LCD screen is backlit for easy visibility, even from across the room. Side panel controls and inputs make it easy to listen to your favorite tunes. And the DSP Tuning System provides exact, fade-free FM reception even as a 200mm Ferrite AM antenna bar allows exceptionally strong AM reception.

The PR-D15 delivers powerful audio for its size from its built-in stereo speakers, with bass and treble tone controls assist you to further adjust the sound to your liking. With dual 2.5″ special stereo speakers, the PR-D15 is an extremely powerful and loud radio built into a light, portable package. If you wish to have even more music, you’ll use the 3.5mm auxiliary input to connect your iPod, iPhone, or other MP3 player. A 3.5mm headphone output jack means that you can enjoy your favorite stations in private when needed.

If you’re listening to the PR-D15 in an office setting, at home, or in any location where it is at a lower volume level, the PR-D15 can compensate the bass (lower frequencies) and treble (higher frequencies) providing a rich sound quality.

The PR-D15 features a built-in alarm. The radio alarm turns on your favorite station at a predetermined time. There’s also a Humane Wake System (HWS) buzzer alarm, which wakes you up gradually with an incrementally increasing alarm instead of a harsh, instant noise. Other alarm functions include a Snooze function and adjustable nap and sleep timers that may be set for 5/10/15/20 minute increments.

With standard AC power or six C-size batteries or six NiMH batteries, the PR-D15 is powered up and ready to go when you find yourself. The unit also recharges your NiMH batteries even as it’s plugged in, and a charging LED indicator means that you can know the battery status. (Batteries not included.)
