Designed with Shadow Elimination Component technology and a skinny 0.24″ edge, the OpticBook 3900 Scanner from Plustek gets rid of the book spine shadow and text distortion repeatedly encountered when books are scanned on flatbeds and copiers. It has an optical answer of 1200 dpi and has an internal color depth of 48-bit for detailed pictures with accurate color. Also, it’s going to carry out a 300 dpi scan in about 7 seconds.
The document glass measures 8.5 x 11.7″ for scanning letter and A4-sized documents and it has a day-to-day duty cycle of about 2,500 sheets. The scanner is Windows and Mac compatible with a TWAIN compliant motive force and has USB 2.0 connectivity.
