Medical Insurance Card and ID Card Scanner (w/Scan-ID LITE, for Windows)

The BCR901 is a USB self-powered simplex card scanner which is fully TWAIN compliant and works with hundreds of other scanning applications, including all electronic healthcare and medical practice management systems which strengthen TWAIN. It is used industry wide to scan medical insurance cards, driver licenses, laminated IDs, photos, and the like.

Scan-ID LITE
The included Scan-ID LITE software is a powerful card management system which lets you scan and manage medical cards, licenses, and other IDs. The system scans and creates a searchable (and exportable) database of the scanned cards. Card information is manually keyed in.

ScanToFile
The included ScanToFile application permits you to scan cards and automatically save the images immediately to PDF, JPEG, or TIFF files on your PC.

Vertical or Horizontal Scanner Mount
This versatile scanner can also be mounted and used vertically or horizontally. Vertical mount has 2 significant advantages:
– Reduced Wrist Strain: Vertical card insertion reduces wrist strain, and is preferred for extended scanning periods.
– Small Footprint: The compact (2.5 x 3.0 inch) footprint is no less than 40% smaller than horizontal scanners, and fits easily into a small or limited desk space.

Dual-Side Scanning Technology
This patented technology enables any healthcare or other application to scan and display both the back and front of a document easily the use of TWAIN. The scanner scans both sides of a document, one side at at time, and combines them into a single composite image. It then transfers the composite image to the application.
