If both input / output devices do not beef up signal conversion, a signal conversion box is required (sold one at a time).

NOTE: Although HDMI cables beef up Hot Plug Detection, wrong usage might result in resetting / restarting both devices, or even may cause damage to the devices. Due to this fact, we do not suggest Hot Plug action for any HDMI cables. Please make sure both input and output devices are off when plugging or unplugging HDMI cables.

HDMI is digital signal and RCA is analog signal, and the cable does not convert the signal. The devices themselves are the ones that want to convert the signal. If the devices do not beef up coding and decoding then buy an adapter one at a time.
