Created to work with virtually each Advanced Photo System and 35mm film, the Canon FS4000US film scanner provides an impressive 4,000 dpi optical resolution. Including both SCSI-2 and USB interfaces, 14-bit A/D conversion, and autofocus, this scanner offers a very good mix of professional functions. Canon’s FARE technology mechanically detects and corrects flaws at the film, at the same time as the automatic film type detection easily distinguishes between slides, 35mm, and APS. It’s compatible with both Macintosh and PC systems. Adobe Photoshop LE and Canon’s FilmGet drivers are included with the scanner, as is a one-year onsite warranty.
