The BestScope BLM-340 Digital Stereo Zoom Microscope with 9″ TFT LCD has a 0.7x to 4.5x zoom objective for 9x to 80x continuous magnification, a 1x auxiliary objective, upper LED illumination, a fixed stage, and an SD card. The 5.0MP digital camera displays images on the built-in TFT (thin film transistor) LCD screen or on a monitor or projector (sold one after the other). Images can also be displayed in color, black and white, or negative mode. The zoom objective provides low magnification and a longer focal length for inspecting large-scale specimens, or specimens that require hands-on manipulation or repair, including rocks, minerals, watches, or circuit boards. A digital stereo zoom microscope provides zoom magnification that allows the user to zoom in on the specimen within a continuous magnification range. It is used for inspection and dissection when three-dimensional images are desired, and where image capture, detailed records, or documentation is required.
The digital camera has a CMOS color sensor for displaying still microscopy images and streaming live videos to the LCD screen or to a monitor or projector. The camera has an HDMI data port. Images can also be stored on the included SD card.
The microscope has an LED ring light for upper (episcopic) illumination that reflects light off the specimen for enhanced visibility of opaque specimens. The LED light source provides bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens, and offers selectable four-zone lighting with brightness keep an eye on.
