Raspberry Pi B+/2B HiFi Shield:PiFi DAC+
This is a special HIFI DAC expansion board designed for the Raspberry pi B+ ,using TI’s DAC chip (PCM5122), using an I2S interface
The expansion board provides two kinds of output interfaces to facilitate external amplifiers and other equipment.
The user can use this expansion board with audio playback systems (eg: volumio, xbmc system etc.) to build its own network HIFI player;
It provides LED indicates working status. Red LED for the DAC power indicator (Power normal light), the green LED for the DAC working condition (when working decode light, stop, or does not work when off), a better understanding of the work of the DAC provide infrared receiver interface (occupied GPIO26)

Caution: This expansion board’s headphone output port is mainly for external connection power amplifier. If you want to use the expansion board to direct drive the headphone, be careful and we do not have the responsibility for it

PCM5122 DAC chip and I2S interface, Perfectly compatible with the official Raspberry Pi PI HAT size, PCB board with gold plating on the tall, curved traces (high-end HIFI DAC are using curved alignment), to better ensure the continuity of the impedance signal to reduce signal reflections and refractions
Updated DAC chip with BBTI Company’s PCM5122 chip. It has I2S port and you can use the I2C port to control the volume and the frequency parameter. It support 16 to 32 frequency data format. Distortion and dynamic condition are very ideal. It supports the high 384 kHz sampling frequency and dynamic range is 112dB with distortion factor -93Db
With isolated power design, the Raspberry Pi power and DAC part of the independent power supply are isolated. Common ground without disturbing each other through the beads, it can get rid of the current sound.
